Thing 3

I created 2 documents in Google Docs.  I revamped a spreadsheet that was shared with me for our school laptop schedule.  Teachers can sign up weekly and adjust the schedule as their needs change or increase in their classroom time for the laptop carts.

The learning curve for the staff will be making sure they do not edit someone else's sign up.  Weekly we will have to clear the Google doc and teachers can re-enter their times if they need the carts the upcoming week as well.

The second item I made was a forum for a classroom party sign up.  I love that parents do not have to sign a piece of paper and hope to gets to school or email me and wait for my response.

Time Spent:  1 hour

  1. Yes! I am so glad you tried out Google Forms! It is by far my favorite Google Drive tool.

Does your school already use Google as a means of signing out the laptops? Some schools really like it, and share the job of cleaning out the spreadsheet weekly. Teachers can always use the color red (for example) if the time is a requested time every week.

  2. Great idea to use the survey tool as a parent sign up to help with classroom volunteering! That is so easy! And if you send an email home anyway, it would be such a great way to get feedback and organize information.
